Region.A few months ago, Daniel Born, member of the state parliament, called the daycare fees a family tax in a state parliament speech and thus put his finger in the wound. “We have to encourage and support families – it does not fit that families must continue to pay a fee for the first educational offer. I want to ensure that this is abolished after the election, ”he states in a press release.
For the SPD politician, it goes without saying that the state has to pay for the cost of the exemption from fees: “The state has to ensure that education is free of charge. From daycare to graduation and master craftsman diploma. If Baden-Württemberg does not invest in education, it has not recognized the signs of the times. ”Born supports concrete measures that invest not only in exemption from fees, but also in quality development and the recruitment of skilled workers.
“Our goal must be that every child, regardless of their parents ‘and grandparents’ budget, has the best educational opportunities for a good life. It is not the origin that counts, but talent and performance ”, demands the SPD member of the state parliament Daniel Born, who is also spokesman for his parliamentary group for early childhood education.
