No deal with May 9 planners, officials: Army chief

Web Desk: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has said that there can be no compromise and no deal with the planners and actors of May 9.
According to ISPR, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir visited the Lahore Garrison where he placed flowers on the martyrs’ memorial and paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
On this occasion, the Army Chief was given a detailed briefing on the operational preparations of the formation.
The Army Chief while addressing the Garrison Officers at the Corps Headquarters appreciated the officers and men for their service to the nation and professionalism.
The Army Chief emphasized that the enemy forces and their patrons are doing digital terrorism through lies, fake news and propaganda and are trying hard to create a divide between the armed forces and the people of Pakistan, but the nation. Support will thwart the ambitions of all these forces.
The Army Chief said that every soldier and officer of the Pakistan Army, regardless of any other affiliation or preference, prioritizes his duties and responsibilities and is making sacrifices on a daily basis.
In his address, the Chief of Army Staff said that May 9 will undoubtedly be a dark day in the history of Pakistan when miscreants deliberately desecrated the memorials of martyrs and attacked symbols of state and national unity.
Due to these violent and nefarious acts, the enemies of Pakistan were given an opportunity to make a mockery of the state and the nation, now the same conspiratorial elements are boldly twisting the narrative and trying to implicate the state in this nefarious attempt.
The Army Chief made it clear that there can be no compromise or deal with the planners and characters of such mentality who created this dark chapter of history.
Innocent people who could not understand the nefarious political motives of these criminal elements fueled by the planners, these deluded people have already been given the benefit of doubt on the directions of the Supreme Court.
The army chief said that the main leaders of this dastardly project who pretend to be innocent will now have to account for their crimes especially when there is clear evidence of their involvement.

The planners, facilitators and perpetrators of May 9th will be brought to justice according to the law of the land. Our failure to respond to daily provocations in this regard should not be considered as our weakness and our patience as unlimited.
General Asim Munir later inaugurated the Jinnah Library in Lahore Garrison, earlier the arrival of the Army Chief was welcomed by the Corps Commander Lahore.
