No Christmas in Windsor? Shocking decision of the Queen

The 95-year-old monarch planned to welcome about 50 guests, including Prince Charles and Camilla. “Unfortunately” and “as a precautionary measure” the royal family will not gather for the holidays at Windsor Palace, “added a spokeswoman for the Queen, writes razkritia.com.

The 95-year-old queen was due to welcome 50 relatives to a celebration at Windsor Castle next week. The day after the party, she was to celebrate in Norfolk, where she would spend Christmas itself.

However, Elizabeth was forced by circumstances to cancel the gathering, as the Christmas meeting would be too much of a risk for her.

For the second year in a row, Elizabeth canceled an event that usually takes place at Buckingham Palace in London. The decision was made after millions of Britons gave up their plans for celebrations and family reunions. The reason is the new wave of “Omicron”, which threatens to hit the island and has already inflicted its first defeats

In the meantime, it became clear that the family will most likely gather in a larger chamber of the liturgy on Christmas Day. At the very least, Kate and William will be present, along with Charles and Camilla. Details are not known, nor whether and which family members will attend the ceremony. It has become a tradition for Christmas to go to church as one of the attractions of the season. And it was a small opportunity for Megan and Kate to show off new outfits, to show that they are not quarrelsome and fully understand each other. Although Harry’s absence has been evident for three years now, no one in the family definitely likes it, the Daily Mail reports.
