We can’t count on big announcements on the upcoming The Last of Us Day. Naughty Dog has published news that confirms that although the developers will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the first The Last of Us, we cannot count on any big announcements.
On June 14, 2013, The Last of Us premiered on PlayStation 3, on July 29, 2024, we played The Last of Us Remastered on PlayStation 4, on September 2, 2022, The Last of Us Part I was released on PlayStation 5, on March 28, the title landed on PC, and at the beginning of the year, viewers could see season 1 of “The Last of Us” on HBO and HBO Max.
Neil Druckmann wanted to celebrate the great premiere of The Last of Us in 2023 and at the same time present Factions, an online production in the Naughty Dog universe, but apparently we cannot count on any big announcements.
The studio has just confirmed that there will be a broadcast on The Last of Us Day, but… no future projects related to games or series. Fans can count on a display of graphics and gadgets.
The Last of Us day is fast approaching!
On this occasion, tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. there will be a #TLODay broadcast, during which we will present graphics, gadgets and more. While we are celebrating the series’ 10th anniversary, we will not be discussing any future game or series projects.
The Last of Us Day is nearly upon us!
We’re celebrating with a #TLOUDay stream tomorrow at 9am PT featuring announcements focused on art, merch, and more. While we’re honoring the series’ 10-year legacy, we will not be discussing any future game or TV show projects.

It’s safe to say that it will be a sad celebration. If Factions was well received, we would probably be able to see the trailer tomorrow and maybe even know the premiere date, and if the writers’ strike had not thwarted Craig Mazin’s plans, we would probably receive new details about Season 2 – it would be a perfect opportunity to show the actress playing the role of the role of Abby.
It is worth recalling that Neil Druckmann announced a “big year” for TLOU in January. The team leader wanted to present “some fun surprises” and “reveal details about the ambitious multiplayer game The Last of Us.”
