For the 20th anniversary of their platinum debut single “Daylight In Your Eyes”, the four members of No Angels met again in the studio and recorded a “Celebration Version”.

“The exploitation contracts with the various labels involved expired about five years ago and as a result, the works created directly from the show ‘Popstars’ were no longer available on the common streaming platforms,” said Germany managing director of Bertelsmann’s music division BMG – Maximilian Kolb – In an official press release at the beginning of January 2021, adding that BMG was then able to secure all rights. A short time later, the entire musical catalog was presented again by the No Angels on Spotify, Apple Music and Co. and has since recorded millions of streams.
The four remaining members of what was then the most successful girl group in continental Europe then thanked them and wrote down the following words via Instagram:
Jessica:
“All No Angels albums, all songs on the well-known streaming portals. FINALLY!! It’s crazy what’s going on right now. I get so many messages. You celebrate it so much – and I celebrate you for your love. ONCE ANGEL, ALWAYS ANGEL [sic]”
Sandy:
“20 years !!!! It took a long time but @thenewbmg finally made it happen. All No Angels and my two solo albums are finally available on all streaming portals and as you can easily see on Instagram, there are many of you who are incredibly happy about it. I am so happy with all of you and indulge in memories myself. Thank you for your loyalty and love [sic]”
Nadja:
“As of today, all of the No Angels music is finally available digitally. We are really happy that this is finally possible. To be honest, I haven’t had some albums myself because of moving, lost data, etc. In addition, all of the No Angels’ music videos can now be seen on YouTube. [sic]”
Lucy:
“Today’s NEWS! No Angels 2001-2003 music is now available on all streaming platforms! I am so happy that the time has finally come and our music and videos are available! Thank you! let’s Dance [sic]”
Vanessa has meanwhile deleted her Instagram profile and apparently nothing more to do with the rest of the girls.
Comeback?
After all the news had been published, fans of the girl group were hoping for a reunion of Lucy, Nadja, Sandy and Jessica. The latter only stated in a question-and-answer session on Instagram in mid-January 2021 that she is still good friends with the remaining members of the No Angels and that they have never lost sight of each other …

The barrel almost overflowed in the end, the rumors of a comeback spread and in the end could have been the reason for the latest coup:
The four members of No Angels came up with a surprise for the 20th anniversary of their platinum debut single “Daylight In Your Eyes”, stood more or less together in the recording studio – as far as the corona pandemic allowed – and have a “Celebration Version” recorded.

While the lyrics, which were written by the two American musicians Anthony Michael Bruno and Tommy Byrne in 2000, had not changed, the duo Paul Mihalitsianos got on board and worked on a changed melody for the debut single.
