“NMBS Expands Train Services with Extra Late Trains in East Flanders”

As in other provinces, the NMBS train company is strongly expanding its offer in the province of East Flanders. For example, extra late trains from Brussels and Antwerp to various stations in East Flanders will arrive on Friday and Saturday evenings. “This transport plan is fully in line with our growth ambitions. It should stimulate passenger growth, both for the commuter, commuter and leisure segment.”

From December next year, there will be extra late S-trains from Brussels Central to Zottegem and Aalst on Friday and Saturday evenings, until after 1 am. From then on, there will also be an extra late S-train from Antwerp Central to Sint-Niklaas on Saturday evening. This train will also stop in Melsele, Beveren-Waas and Nieuwkerken-Waas, among others.
