While Cergy-Pontoise, Les Sables d’Olonne and Kaysersberg are already on their way to the NM2, a last team will accompany them in the cart. After an amazing Friday night, ABBR, SOPCC and HTV will play their survival next week on the final day.

The evening of missed opportunities! All three concerned by the fight to maintain NM1, Berck, Pont-de-Chéruy and Hyères-Toulon could have ensured their rescue on Friday. Instead, they all experienced immense disappointment before, certainly, a real sigh of relief when they read the results of their rivals. At the dawn of the last day, the ABBR therefore maintains a short lead over the other two teams, tied on points with the basket-average favorable to the SOPCC. But Laurent Kleefstra’s men lost to a team from Kaysersberg yet already doomed (76-81), after a poor third quarter (7-21), while the Pontois collapsed in the money-time against Union Tarbes-Lourdes (78-80), victorious for the sixth time in a row with in particular 20 points from Devante Wallace. Except that they avoided the worst thanks to the unexpected boost from the Pôle France. While they remained on 19 consecutive losses (since December 2), the young people of INSEP garnered their first success of the year on the floor of HTV (65-55). An evening marked by the incredible performance of Nolan Traore : already gone from 2.2 to 11.1 units on average, the 16-year-old leader compiled 28 points at 10/20, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in 34 minutes. By far his best game in National 1, he who had twice reached the 20 point mark.

The three teams have their destiny in their hands!

A recital which therefore comes at the worst time for Hyères-Toulon, who missed the opportunity to ensure an unexpected early maintenance (9 victories over the whole season, against 13 for Berck and 18 for Pont-de-Chéruy ). But by the miracle of an aberrant formula combined with the five-point penalty imposed on the SOPCC for financial reasons and next week’s schedule, the HTV still has its destiny in its hands. To tell the truth, the three teams have it: a victory would necessarily mean a new season in NM1. And for the rest, you will have to get out the calculators, with three distinct scenarios explained below.

The different scenarios of the 8th day
