NLW Tourism brings Italian partners on board for project

“Regenerate” is the name of the new Interreg project that NLW Tourismus Marketing GmbH planned and recently submitted. However, it will not be carried out alone; four Italian partners are on board: the “Consorzio di Promozione Turistica del Tarvisiano”, the “Sella Nevea e di Passo Pramollo”, the “Alta Badia” tourism cooperative and “Etifor SRL Societa Benefit”. The cost of the project is 860,000 euros.

Together, they want to work towards a new balance between the economy, nature and tourist flows. The goal by December 2025 is to raise awareness of regenerative tourism and to develop an approach to sustainable tourism that goes beyond conventional concepts.

Opinion polls and communication strategy

The project components include opinion polls to capture the perceptions and needs of the local population and tourists. In addition, the impact of tourism on the environment in the project area will be analyzed. This data will then be used to understand the impact of tourism in the project area and to develop targeted measures that take into account both the community and the environmental needs. Another point is the development of a communication strategy that promotes exchange between stakeholders.

Cross-border cooperation offers many advantages and opportunities. The partners would share valuable experiences, resources and strategies to develop sustainable solutions for tourism in the Alps. This would not only strengthen regional identity, but also promote the exchange of best practices. In addition, long-term relationships would be built that would make it possible to tackle future challenges together.
