The first phase of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) Connector Road has been inaugurated, providing another route for trade transportation to the National Capital Region from various provinces in the northern region of the Philippines. The 5-kilometer elevated expressway is expected to improve mobility for residents, travelers, and traders, and speed up the transport of goods to Metro Manila. The opening of the NLEx Connector Caloocan-España Section was led by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and attended by government officials and executives from Metro Pacific Investments Corp. and Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. The new expressway is expected to spur economic development and ease traffic congestion in Metro Manila, as well as improve logistics and boost communities. Vehicles from the central part of Luzon will enter the west side of Mindanao Avenue of the Smart Connect Interchange to reach the NLEx Harbor Link to access the NLEx Connector.
