NKC distributes 1.9 million euros / day for the production of 16 new films

She pointed out that a total of 41 film projects were evaluated in the competition – 16 documentaries, seven animated films and 18 feature films, applying for the competition funding of 1.9 million, which is planned for the production of new films in 2022.

Documentary film projects in the competition were evaluated by experts Līga Ilma, Maira Dobele and NKC representative Lelda Ozola, animation projects – Ivo Briedis, Ieva Viese-Vigula and NKC representative Kristīne Matīsa, feature film projects – Edmunds Jansons, Andis Mizišs and NKC representative Inga Blese.

In order to promote the observance of the interests of the Latvian society and Latvian film viewers, representatives of the society are also involved in the work of expert commissions in the film production competition.

Latvian Television representative Zane Valeniece, a cinema, participated in the evaluation of the projects kino us representative, anthropologist Māris Prombergs and representative of the Latvian Association of Journalists, Latvian Radio journalist Zane Mače.

The public presentations of the film projects submitted in the competition took place online for three days this year – on May 30, May 31 and June 1.

Atom Art animated film Freeride granted 31,430 euros, Ltd. Environmental film studio animated film Wardrobe allocated EUR 62 308.

Fenixfilm documentary Women without men supported by 62,900 euros, while SIA Bite Films for a documentary Milda’s room allocated EUR 101 020. SIA K Movies for a documentary My eighty granted 70,000 euros, Ltd. Juris Podnieks studio for a documentary Apparent freedom 104,000 euros, Ltd. Studio Locomotive for a documentary El Lobo Leton: a legend about the Latvian wolf EUR 45 870 has been allocated.

IS Mean Ego feature films Ula granted 200,000 euros, Ltd. Amber Sound feature films The Brothers’ War granted 170,000 euros, Ltd. Baltic Pine Films feature films Survival School 350,000 euros have been earmarked, while SIA Make Filma feature films The calendar calls me 289,046 euros were allocated, but SIA Mima Films feature films Imprints EUR 200 000 has been allocated.
