NEW JERSEY — NJ Transit is asking for help finding the owner of a dog that boarded one of its trains Thursday.
The adorable white dog apparently followed someone, other than his owner, onto a train at Mountain Station during Thursday’s morning rush hour to the Hoboken terminal.
NJ Transit officers checked with colleagues near the Mountain station but could not find its owner. The dog also does not have a microchip.
The dog was taken to the Jersey City Humane Society.
Anyone with information about the owner is asked to call 1-800-242-0236 or 973-378-6565.
This dog is not the first NJ Transit case in animal stories. A rogue bull wreaked havoc while racing down the tracks in Newark last month. The bovine never boarded a train, but it did cause delays.
