NEW JERSEY — Christmas and holiday celebrations are only days away and many are preparing to travel and visit loved ones. The Meteorological Authority warns that a thunderstorm is expected to arrive on Thursday and Friday which could create dangerous driving conditions, as cold temperatures could create ice on roads, as well as flight delays.
However, for those who want to use public transportation, NJ Transit offers an additional service during the holiday season. Customers will have more travel options and flexibility to attend special events, family reunions and other celebrations.
Throughout the month of December, the agency offers its customers the SuperSaver rate, which allows up to two children under the age of 11 to travel free with each paying adult, effective from now until 6am on Tuesday 3 January.
In addition, NJ Transit is offering exciting new offers and discounts for the holiday season. Both new and existing customers can save on travel by using various promo codes in the app, including “Buy One, Get One” deals, as well as discounts to New York City, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City. Full details are at njtransit.com/holiday.
