Information is circulating online that Nixon allegedly wrote to his successor Clinton that an “American” Revolution of Dignity and an “American war” would take place in Ukraine.
“Such a ‘prophecy’ with reference to the politician’s declassified letter is being disseminated by the Russian media,” the center said.
According to the staff of the center, the propagandists are manipulating Nixon’s real quotes from Clinton’s letter. After all, the 37th President of the United States did indeed predict Russia’s transition to authoritarianism and its invasion of Ukraine.
He wrote that relations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation would deteriorate because the Kremlin would be led by an authoritarian ruler. In this context, Nixon noted that it is better for the United States to strengthen the diplomatic presence in Ukraine – this will help it survive.
“There was no talk of an ‘American’ war and revolution in Nixon’s letter. In the end, it was not the Americans who unleashed a brutal unprovoked war, but the Russians. And they will not be able to shift the responsibility for this to another country, no matter how many fakes they circulate,” – added in the center.
Recall that earlier the SBU exposed 11 Internet agitators who spread Kremlin fakes about the war.
We also wrote that the Russians are forcing the Ukrainians in the occupation to watch propaganda films.
