The controversial Cuban actress Niurka Marcos caused a stir again, after this week she confessed to having had a relationship with members of organized crime in Mexico.
The star, who has lived in the Aztec country for more than two decades, presented her new song, Pitbull, this week, and during the presentation she offered several statements, one of which immediately stole all the attention.
The self-proclaimed “scandal woman” was questioned about the lawsuit by the Mexican actress and singer Ninel Conde against the author Anabel Hernández, who in her book The Ladies of Narco, linked her to organized crime.
Niurka said he agreed with the right of celebrities to defend themselves against accusations against them, but emphasized that such defenses must be supported by solid evidence.
“It’s okay to defend yourself, we all have the right to our opinion, but an opinion must be supported by arguments and evidence,” Marcos said.
It was then that he was directly questioned about whether he had worked for people related to organized crime and, to everyone’s surprise, Marcos admitted having done so, equating this type of work with any other.
“As Paty Navidad said at the time, we have all been invited to work in places where later we realize who they are. But what can be done? “It’s work, they’re paying you,” declared the actress and singer.
The star clarified that sometimes she discovers the truth about her employers until she has finished her presentations, however, she did not seem scandalized by this situation.
The controversial thing about her statements, for many, was the position that her job is like any other, and she is willing to do it regardless of the environment.
“’How much does the lady earn?’, so much, ‘well I hire her’, and off I go. You work and when you leave you realize, but no way, I work everywhere,” explained the artist.
