Nitrogen fertilization in maralfalfa grass (Pennisetum sp), and its effect on biomass and dry matter production in the Zungarococha Farm- FA-UNAP-Iquitos

Abstract

The importance of this research work is to improve the agronomic characteristics of the Maralfalfa grass (Pennicetum sp), by applying a nitrogen fertilizer after the uniformization cut and in this way supplying some nutritional limitations of the forage during its development. The following objective was proposed: Evaluate 03 levels of Nitrogen Fertilization in the Maralfalfa Pasture (Pennicetum sp) and its impact on the production of biomass and dry matter in Zungarococha. This Research Work was developed on the grounds of the Faculty of Agronomy – Agrostological Garden Teaching and Research Project, UNAP, Iquitos. To meet the objectives set out in this research work, the experimental design of Complete Random Blocks (DBCA) with three treatments (00, 92, 138 and 184 kg / ha of nitrogen) and four repetitions was used. It was possible to conclude that, That the T3 treatment (184 kg / ha of Nitrogen) turned out to be the most promising for all the variables tested in relation to the other treatments.
