Nissan’s ‘Daring Africa 2024’ Expedition Concludes in Style

This great adventure at the wheel of the Japanese brand Nissan ended its journey by arriving in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, after leaving from Rosslyn, Pretoria, in South Africa. The convoy began its journey in Egypt in the historic city of Luxor, passing through Qena, Hurghada and El Gouna, before reaching the headquarters of Nissan in Egypt, located in the city of 6th of October.

On this occasion, Jordi Vila, President of Nissan Africa, said: “The Daring Africa 2024 convoy is much more than just a journey; it is a celebration of the Nissan Navara, which has demonstrated its ability to withstand the harsh terrains of Africa after covering more than 8,000 kilometers.”

He went on to stress that the main objective of this convoy was to demonstrate the performance of this exceptional vehicle, proudly manufactured in Africa, alongside the Nissan X-Trail model: “We also highlighted Nissan’s heritage in Africa for over 60 years, while offering superior after-sales services.”

For his part, Sherif ElDessouky, Managing Director of Nissan Africa, indicated that the Navara, designed and manufactured specifically for Africa, has proven that it meets global quality standards.

Before reaching its final stop in Egypt, the Daring Africa 2024 convoy passed through several African countries, including South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania and Kenya.

Among the interactive activities organized during the trip, participants visited Nissan’s newest service centers and discovered Egypt’s natural landscapes as well as iconic historical and cultural sites.

Ramy Mohareb, Director of Communications and Public Relations for Nissan Africa, highlighted that the Nissan team demonstrated courage and audacity throughout the Daring Africa 2024 convoy: “This journey, which involved more than 100 journalists, offered a unique driving experience, from South Africa to Egypt, passing through several African countries. It allowed us to create new friendships and strengthen important relationships with our partners across the continent. With the Navara, we have proven that we can explore Africa’s potential while realizing our dreams and ambitions… Now, we know that we can dream and realize our ambitions. Together, we can open new perspectives on the infinite potential of this continent.”
