Nissan Unveils Four New Energy Vehicle Concepts at Auto China 2024 in Beijing

At the Beijing Motor Show, Auto China 2024, under the banner “New Nissan for a new era in China,” Nissan unveiled four new energy vehicle (NEV) concepts and showcased a strong lineup of electrified models, highlighting the their achievements and future directions in electrification. Nissan also announced that it would launch a “new energy vehicle” on the market in addition to its previous releases, bringing the total number of vehicles planned for the 2026 fiscal year to five.

Nissan President and CEO Makoto Uchida said: “In order to achieve sustainable growth in the rapidly changing Chinese market, Nissan is committed to a China-designed strategy, as announced us in our new business plan, ‘The Arc’. Starting with new energy vehicles based on the concepts presented, Nissan will build a balanced product portfolio of diverse and competitive new models. Our goal is to provide a more exciting mobility experience for all customers in China.”

Models on display
The four NEV concept models on display, two electric vehicles and two plug-in hybrids, are a joint effort with local partner Dong Feng and aim to better address the needs of future consumer mobility in China.

4 The Nissan Evo Concept plug-in hybrid sedan is perfect for weekend getaways and creates special moments for the whole family. In addition to its advanced safety and driver assistance features, its AI-enhanced virtual personal assistant helps you complete your journey and drive.

Models on display

The Nissan Hyper Force concept and the Nissan Hyper Punk concept, which debuted at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo last October, were shown for the first time in China.

The Nissan Hyper Force Concept is designed to offer the ultimate thrill while offering high environmental performance and comfort for everyday use. It is designed for racing enthusiasts and gamers who love the adrenaline of the race track, but are also environmentally conscious.

The Nissan Hyper Punk concept, presented digitally, aims to encourage self-expression in both the real and physical worlds. With artificial intelligence and biosensors in the headrests, the concept can detect the driver’s mood and automatically select the appropriate music and lighting, thus increasing energy and creativity.

To further showcase Nissan’s expertise in electrification, the Gen3 Formula E race car on display proudly represents the Nissan Formula E team’s participation in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, providing driving excitement all-electric to more enthusiasts and customers.
