Nissan has agreed to use Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) for its Arya crossover and future EV models.
The plan is to allow the use of NACS charging adapters in Aria from 2024. The company plans to launch EVs with NACS-compatible charging ports in the United States and Canada in 2025.
Nissan is the first Japanese automaker to announce that it will make future products compatible with NACS.
