TWO NEWS – Introduced three years ago, the fifth generation of the subcompact Nissan Micra received a first slight update in early 2019, on the occasion of the arrival of new engines. Now, a second one is announced which includes a renewal of the range, but no aesthetic touch-ups. The Micra is offered with the 1.0 IG-T 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine only, updated to comply with the anti-smog regulations, which have been mandatory since January. The transition to Euro 6d, however, sees a power loss: 92 HP against the 100 HP of the previous version. The gearbox is a 5-speed manual, but at a price of 1,500 euros there is the Xtronic automatic (which is a CVT).
THE EQUIPMENT – The Nissan Micra edition 2021 it can already be ordered, while the first deliveries are expected by the end of the year. The trim levels remain five, but N-Connecta and N-Style disappear, replaced by Visia and N-Design, alongside the Acenta, N-Sport and Tekna. The Visia, with prices from 16,315 euros, is the basis: the equipment must be integrated, because the manual climate control is also paid separately, offered at 600 euros in the package with heated front seats and mirrors. Automatic braking is also optional: it costs 450 euros and is in the Safety package, with the system against involuntary lane change and automatic high beams. L’N-Design, from 18,615 euros, is the third trim level and has 16 ”alloy wheels, fog lights, tinted rear windows and a leather steering wheel, as well as a multimedia system with a 7” screen and smartphone compatibility.
