JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Nissan Indonesia has been absent from distributing some of its flagship products, such as Livina for five consecutive months since the fourth quarter of 2020 or last October.

Confirmed Kompas.com, PT Nissan Motor Distribution Indonesia (NMDI) Head of Marketing Communication Julian Olmon said that the related achievement was not a big problem.
This is because the company is currently focusing on direct sales to consumers, aka retail. It’s just that NMID cannot say the amount of data.
“So far Livina is still as expected. We are focused on retail sales but sorry, according to company policy we cannot share data,” he said recently.
Then regarding the process of transferring management and distribution rights from PT Nissan Motor Indonesia (NMI) to NMDI, Julian explained there was no problem.

Nissan’s domestic business activities are still ongoing, which includes distribution, sales and after-sales. However, there may be slight differences regarding the medium-long term strategy that is carried out.
“Since 2001 NMDI has had a role and is responsible for distributing Nissan vehicles, spare parts and components in Indonesia,” said Julian.
“In accordance with the information that has been conveyed, the changes that occurred in NMDI were only share ownership where currently 75 percent of the shares are controlled by Indomobil and the remaining 25 percent are controlled by Nissan Motor Co. Ltd,” he continued.
