JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Nissan officially launched its newest compact hatchback, the All New Nissan Note in Japan on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. This car is exclusively present in technology hybrid nicknamed, e-Power.
As is known, the e-Power technology is basically a hybrid car technology system with a series configuration type. So the wheels rotate through the power that is channeled through the electric motor utilizing the power from the battery.
Meanwhile, charging the battery is done from the gasoline engine which functions as a generator.

“With this new Note, we want to bring the joy of e-Power to more customers,” said Ashwani Gupta, Nissan Chief Operating Officer, in a written statement (24/11/2020).
The latest Note has a display that Nissan calls the Timeless Japanese Futurism. This design has a simple approach, but it’s strong and modern, and has features typical compared to other compact hatchbacks.
The V-Motion grille also adorns the fascia of the latest Note. In addition, this line extends from the front to the side to blend into the rear giving a sophisticated, simple and dynamic feel for the era of electrification.

While the front grille pattern carries a traditional Japanese design, with a touch of artisan or skilled craftsmen.
The design of the headlamps is also made sleek with four LED projector lamps that look sharp and sporty.
In the interior, the latest Note still carries a simple yet sophisticated design. The center console is positioned for easy access to the electronic shift lever which is reduced and opens space underneath.

At the rear, the space also looks quite spacious for a compact hatchback. Moreover, there is still a lot of head and leg room left.
Talking about the kitchen runway, Note carries the second generation of e-Power technology with a new electric motor and inverter.
The electric motor torque has been increased by 10 percent and the output 6 percent, making acceleration more powerful since the car stops or when you want to overtake another vehicle.

Meanwhile, the new inverter is claimed to be 30 percent lighter and 40 percent smaller than the previous model.
Even though the power output increases, the e-Power technology has controls that have been tuned to provide smoother acceleration and not disturb the peace of the cabin.
“Once you drive e-Power, you will immediately know why e-Power is well received by customers,” said Gupta.
“It offers linear and exhilarating acceleration that is a unit for 100 percent electric motor drive, but without the limitation of battery charging. This is the power of e-Power, ”he said.
Note e-Power will be marketed in Japan starting December 23, 2020. This car is available in three different variants, from 2,029,500 yen or the equivalent of Rp. 276 million to 2,186,800 yen or equivalent to Rp. 297 million.
