Nissan Hyper Punk Concept: The Future of Electric Juke for Creative Individuals

The Nissan Hyper Punk Concept was unveiled on October 19, giving us a glimpse of what the future electric Juke will be like. The machine is said to be aimed at content creators, influencers, artists and other creative individuals

In October, Nissan had a whole series of unusual concepts of the Hyper series: at the beginning of the month they showed the extravagant urban crossover Hyper Urban, then they presented the crossover for traveling in the wild Hyper Adventure, then the minivan of the future Hyper Tourer debuted, and now we have a fourth, especially spectacular new – Hyper Punk. All of them will appear before the public next week at the Japan Mobility Show (formerly the Tokyo Auto Show).

The name Hyper Punk is a reference to the concept of “cyberpunk”, and this seems to be no coincidence. Nissan Hyper Punk is a compact electric crossover with a strong image component and its own approach to the world of the future. Many broken lines, flat edges and sharp corners are designed to remind you of the art of origami. The edges play under different lighting angles due to the special silver paint.

Complex body plastics contradict the trends of the modern world of electric vehicles, where minimalism rules, providing good aerodynamic qualities (and hence energy savings). But the Hyper Punk style is said to do no harm in streamlining.

This car is intended for modern representatives of the creative world who are always creative, even in a moving car. And the machine itself also creates. For example, on-board cameras can take pictures of the scenery around the car and, using artificial intelligence, convert it into an image in the style of manga or other graphic genres. The image can then be projected onto a three-screen dashboard surrounding the driver, and in this image, reality and the world of the metaverse will be fused together.

The interior is designed as a mobile creative studio. The on-board multimedia system (with a constant Internet connection, of course) works with a variety of driver and passenger gadgets, helping them access information and create on the go. Thanks to artificial intelligence and biosensors in the headrests, the Nissan Hyper Punk Concept is able to detect the driver’s mood and automatically select the appropriate music and lighting, thereby increasing the driver’s energy and creativity.

The crossover supports V2X (Vehicle-to-everything) technology, which allows the car to communicate with road infrastructure and other cars, charge anywhere and share electricity with other electric vehicles and other electricity consumers. V2X has already begun to become widespread in the industry in recent years.

It is curious that they decided to promote all four Hyper concepts in the virtual world – on October 25 they will appear in the online game Fortnite.
