The unique Ariya Single Seater Concept was unveiled at an event called Nissan Futures, presented to the world by Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president of global design in Nissan, together with CEO Juan Manuel Hoyos.

Introducing the single-seater driver’s concept, Nissan said the model should reflect Japanese design futurism combined with a custom chassis and racing concept. The car contains a number of aerodynamic conveniences and accessories, and the letter V, which shines on the bow, works particularly well.

The body of the whole concept was made of carbon fiber and Nissan proudly reports that their participation in the ABB FIA Formula E series significantly helped in the construction. Last but not least, the powertrain comes from the already introduced SUV called the Ariya.

“We wanted the concept to show that the Ariya SUV electric motor has high performance potential, and we delivered it in a motorsport-inspired package,” said Juan M. Hoyos at the launch. According to most information, the car will only serve as a study. It should never be produced.
