Nirvana’s lawyers ask for the lawsuit against the group to be dismissed. Last summer, Spencer Elden, 30, announced that he wants to sue the group for sexually exploiting children. A very young Elden graced the album’s famous cover Nevermind (1991).
The man suddenly claimed that as a baby of a few months old he could never give permission to take that photo. According to him, there was even child pornography. At the time, it was said that the baby’s genitals would be covered with a sticker. He wanted compensation of 130,000 euros through the court.
Nirvana’s lawyers now say the complaint is not serious. Elden has known all his life that he is the person in the picture and has never made it a problem. For example, the album title is tattooed on his chest and he distributed a new similar photo with himself in the lead role on the 15th and 25th anniversary of the album. (tove)
