Miracle in Deux-Sèvres
A young motorist narrowly escaped a violent death. Wednesday, in the middle of the morning, a car deviates from its trajectory on the RN 149 in the Chiché sector.
A few seconds later, he collided head-on with a truck traveling in the opposite direction. The car is in a thousand pieces. The firefighters and the police are dispatched to the scene to get the young man out of the carcass.
Seriously injured, the young motorist escaped almost unscathed. No traces of alcohol, narcotics and no speeding were found against the two drivers.
New municipal election in Xantray
After the resignation of 10 municipal councilors including the mayor, a partial municipal election will be organized next March in the municipality of Xantray.
The inhabitants are called to go to the polls on March 20 for the 1st round.
Under the sunlight of Niort
The Journal du Dimanche unveiled last Sunday the 2022 ranking of towns and villages in France where life is good.
In this ranking, Niort is in 79th place out of 34,827 municipalities at the national level. The capital of the Deux-Sèvres department climbs eight places.
Fight against school bullying
Jérémy Bellet, actor and model, came to meet schoolchildren from Le Pré-Vert elementary school in Clazay, delegated municipality of Bressuire. On the program, the children had the right to various activities dedicated to raising awareness of school bullying.
Conference, exchanges, fashion show… Jérémy tried to free the voice of children in the face of this taboo subject within the framework of his association “Respect for all”.
He is currently continuing his tour of France of educational and cultural establishments.
Traffic continues to intensify in Deux-Sèvres
The circulation of Covid-19 continues to intensify in Deux-Sèvres. The department has an incidence rate of 3,885 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
23.5% of the resuscitation beds in the department are occupied by Covid-1 patients, and to date, 88 Covid-19 hospitalizations are in progress (+22 in one week).
