New rules are in place for visits to Niort hospital due to “from the high level of circulation of the coronavirus and in order to protect the patients, visitors and professionals of the establishment”indicates this Tuesday, December 21 the hospital in a press release.
The visits are suspended since Monday, December 20 and until further notice in the short stay services i.e. medicine, surgery, obstetrics, and that of comprehensive and geriatric follow-up care and rehabilitation. They may be authorized exceptionally on medical advice.
In other services, there are adaptations. In psychiatry, visits are limited to one per day and by appointment. Visits are maintained for long stays at the Cèdre bleu nursing home and the long-term care unit with strict respect for barrier measures (mandatory health pass, wearing a mask, distancing…).
To maternity, the other parent can be present in the delivery room with authorization for one round trip per day during the stay, provided that they show no sign of illness and wear a mask. In pediatricsonly one accompanying parent is allowed.
