At the end of a lackluster meeting, Amiens and Niort separated in a draw (0-0). Despite the Aliou Badji’s first tenure who found the bar, the Picards failed to find the offensive solution. The ASC remains fifteenth in the standings before the international break.
Badji’s premiere
For this match, observed from the stands by Philippe Hinschberger suspended, Amiens launched his new attacker Aliou Badji. The Senegalese facilitated the attack alongside Jayson Papeau, Chadrac Akolo or the captain Arnaud Lusamba.
Amiens controlled the ball in the first quarter of an hour. But apart from a distant and unframed strike from Mamadou Fofana. Niort responded timidly on a free kick and gradually regained possession of the ball to worry the Picards a little more.
At the half hour mark, the ASC wasted two opportunities on set pieces. Arnaud Lusamba first hit a free kick directly into the gloves of the Niort goalkeeper, Quentin Braat. A few minutes later, Mathis Lachuer did not find anyone on a corner.
Big stop for Régis Gurtner before the break
Shortly before half-time, the players of Sebastien Desabre offered a great fright to the Amiens. The ASC relied on its goalkeeper, author of a big parade. Regis Gurtner diverted the Niort strike from Yanis Merdji of the foot in a beautiful reflex of handball goalkeeper.
Badji finds the bar!
The second period started out on roughly the same basis with Niortais a little sharper, like Bilal Boutobba who hit above. Amiens finally reacted a few moments later. Jayson Papeau, first well served by Chadrac Akolo managed to slide the ball to Aliou Badji. For his first match with Amiens, the Senegalese believed to score his first goal but his strike crashed into the crossbar.
