At the beginning of this week, we reported the first rumors about an offshoot of the RPG series Final Fantasy from the developer studio Team Ninja. Like from one current report from Fanbyte magazine It appears that there is some truth to the rumors. Accordingly, the game should be called Final Fantasy Origins and initially appear exclusively for the PS5. A PC version is apparently also planned, but will only appear at a later date. The gameplay is said to be inspired by some Souls games as well as titles in the style of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and thus tend towards action RPG. Further details on the content or the story cannot be found in the report. However, Final Fantasy Origins is supposed to be somehow related to the first offshoot of the role-playing game series, which would explain the addition of “Origins” to the name.
Demo in summer?
Also interesting: According to Fanbyte, the publisher Square Enix will allegedly release an alpha demo of Final Fantasy Origins in the course of the summer. This should appear under the name “Stranger in Paradise” and serve to obtain initial feedback from the community.
