Koei Tecmo and Ninja Theory’s action RPG Nioh 2 will get an improved version on PlayStation 5 and PC next year.
The Complete Edition of Nioh 2 not only contains the game, but also the three expansions and also supports 4K and 120fps. This is scheduled for February 5, 2021.
In addition, there is also a remaster of the first part to the PlayStation 5, just like the Nioh Collection. It contains, as you may have guessed, the improved version of both games.
Finally, the publisher says that the Complete Edition of Nioh 2 will also come to the PlayStation 4.
Commenting on the release of the PC version of Nioh 2, producer Fumihiko Yasuda said:
“We are very grateful to all of our die-hard PC fans who have patiently waited to play Nioh 2. We’re working hard here at Team Ninja to put the finishing touches to Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition with a wealth of graphical tweaks. Ready your knives and unleash your darkness – formidable enemies await you on February 5, 2021. “
On the PlayStation Blog, creative director Tom Lee writes the following about the Nioh collection:
“While many of you may feel sad to see the story of Nioh 2 in the final chapter (I’m one of them), I’d like to thank all of our fans who have been by our side on this crazy journey from the release. From the first Nioh to this milestone. On behalf of Team Ninja, I would like to express our sincere thanks for supporting the Nioh series and our team on this long and wonderful ride.
As a token of our appreciation, we thought there was no better way to celebrate the Nioh series, one that is close to our hearts and dear to us, than re-mastering the entire story for veterans and new players alike to enjoy of using the latest hardware. ”
