Nintendo’s Wii U and 3DS eShop to close on Monday – A Final Reminder

Last chance to shop!

We’ve known since July that the online store for Wii U and 3DS will close on March 27th. This date is on Monday so here’s a final reminder to all Wii U and 3DS owners that if they want to buy anything in the eShop you have the weekend before the eShop closes for good.

Most of the Wii U exclusives have been released on Switch, but there are still some exclusive titles left that you might want to pick up if you don’t have them. The HD editions of Zelda Wind Waker and Twilight Princess for example, is only available on Switch at the moment. Another game that lies signed close to the heart is Xenoblade Chronicles X. On 3DS there are, among other things Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the move plus quite a few old Gameboy and DS titles available on the Virtual Console. This is just a sampling of games, so if you own either platform take a look in stores before Monday.

It should also be mentioned that only the front of the shops are being taken down. So if you buy games or own them digitally they will still be downloadable after the 27th. So it is only the ability to buy games and DLC disappearing.
