Nintendo will receive Xbox games for the next 10 years

Brad Smith, president of Microsoft, announces the closing of an agreement with Nintendo to launch Xbox games with full parity.

A few weeks ago, a historic agreement between Microsoft and Nintendo involving Call of Duty was announced. Now him Microsoft President Brad Smith, has announced that said agreement has been closed, and has given it an extra important nuance. Both companies have closed a 10 year agreement to go Xbox games to Nintendo consoles.

In a tweet, Smith affirms that the step has already been taken and that everything is underway and that he is part of “our commitment to carry Xbox and Activision gameslike Call of Duty, to more players and more platforms. Message that accompanies an image in which said agreement is detailed a little more:

Microsoft and Nintendo have negotiated and signed a 10-year binding legal agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo gamers, the same day as Xboxcon all features and content parityso they can experience Call of Duty the way Xbox and PlayStation gamers experience Call of Duty.

We are committed to provide equal access to Call of Duty on other gaming platforms in the long term, bringing more options to more players and more competitiveness to the video game market.

Brad Smith, President of Microsoft

A movement that, by all accounts, seems like a response to voices against of the closing of the purchase agreement of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft. In recent weeks, things seem to have become complicated in some trade and competitiveness organizations, which doubt a fair outlook after the purchase of the company.

Although on PlayStation they claimed that it was impossible for Switch to move Call of Duty, it is possible that this agreement has another platform in mind. This year an expansion is expected to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2not a new game. 2024 it would be the year of a new delivery of Call of Duty, and it is possible that this is the one that sees the light on a Nintendo console. Will it be on Switch or its successor?

Creatures already works with next-generation hardware Will it be the next exclusive Pokémon for Nintendo’s next-gen console? Switch 2?
