Nintendo announced in its Twitter microblog that it will reduce the purchase price of the hotel Joy-Con controller for the Switch game console. If now you have to pay $ 49.99 to replace a lost or broken game pad, then starting November 9, Joy-Con can be found in stores for $ 10 cheaper.
Interestingly, the manufacturer will only reduce the cost by two types of controller – left blue and right red options. The same are included with the game console itself. Prices for the Joy-Con versions in other colors are likely to remain the same. For example, the black version of the controller is offered for the same $ 49.99. Also unchanged is the price of the Joy-Con dual controller set, which is now $ 79.99.
The decline in cost can be considered a reaction to criticism towards Nintendo for the fact that over time its controllers become unusable – the analog sticks incorrectly register the player’s movements and periodically fire spontaneously. The company already filed for this in court.
