Nintendo warns Switch gamers against playing during high temperatures

Company warns that it is only allowed to play on the Nintendo Switch when the ambient temperature is between 5 and 35 degrees. It may become warmer in various parts of the world this week, certainly in locations that quickly become warm, such as cars parked in the sun.

While it’s not suggested that the Switch could be damaged when played in extremely hot weather, the console may turn off automatically when it gets too hot to prevent damage.

Nintendo also warns people not to block the Switch’s ventilation ports, as that could cause the console’s temperature to rise even higher. The company also recommends placing the Switch dock in a place where no heat remains. Finally, players are advised to remove dust around the ventilation with a vacuum cleaner.
