There were a lot of goodies on Nintendo Direct, including updates on Splatoon and new forms of Kirby. Here are some of the highlights.

On Nintendo Direct in February came there a lot of news and long-awaited updates.
Nintendo Switch Sports
For switch, there have already been several training games, such as Ringfit, Just Dance and Zumba, but this is the first happy return to Nintendo’s superior Wii Sports. The Switch variant will have tennis, bowling, chambira, football, volleyball and badminton. There will be an opportunity for online gaming, and Nintendo Switch Online members can try out this already 18.-20.February. The game is released on the 29th.April.
Mario Kart 8 is getting DLC
It’s been almost five years since the last update, but now things are finally happening with Mario Kart. Booster Course Pass will add over 48 courses and costs 25 dollars (around 200 NOK with the current course). The first courses will be available 18.March.
Kirby with mouthful mode
The funniest part of Nintendo Direct was undoubtedly Kirby’s new ability. Kirby is given the ability to swallow and transforms into selected objects, shown by Kirby swallowing a car. Kirby and The Forgotten Land will be released on the 25th.March.
Portal
Both Portal and Portal 2 will be available on Nintendo Switch. There is no release date other than later in 2022.
Other new features include Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Mario Strikers: Battle League, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes and a drum festival featuring Taiko No Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival.
