SEMARANG, AYOSEMARAN.COM – Nintendo has released the company’s earnings for the second quarter of 2021.
From financial reports, the Nintendo Switch console has reportedly sold up to 89 million units.
Launching Suara.com, the company announced sales of 4.45 million units from April to June 2021.
That figure includes the standard Nintendo Switch 3.31 million units and the Switch Lite 1.14 million units.
The additional 4.45 million units puts the Switch’s lifetime sales close to the Wii’s record 101.63 million units.
The Switch has a gap of nearly 13 million units in terms of matching the Nintendo Wii’s lifetime sales record.

If it surpasses the Wii, it will surpass the Switch Game Boy (118.69 million) and Nintendo DS (154.02 million) to become Nintendo’s best-selling console of all time.
Since they just released the Nintendo Switch OLED, it’s possible for the Switch that console production is still ongoing.
Although the switch console infiltrated 89 million units, sales actually declined or decreased.
Changes in sales figures of 4.45 million units, including a decrease of 21.7% compared to the previous period.
Software sales also fell 10.2 percent to 45.29 million units.
Nintendo’s revenue fell 9.9 percent to $2.94 billion (Rp42.2 trillion) and operating profit to $1.09 billion (Rp15.6 trillion), down 17.3 percent year-on-year.
