Nintendo thinks it has people for children and family as customers (and I think that’s quite true, when I look around me) and aunt Truus and uncle Ruud are not waiting for friend requests from Jan and Alleman.
So such a long code is very safe. No one can just guess a valid code and start spamming. That’s the idea behind it.
Regardless of whether you think that’s good or bad, of course. Choice would be nice, this code is standard, but the option to create a gamertag yourself, for example.
