A few days ago, unconfirmed information appeared that Nintendo will soon lower the price of the Switch console for the first time since the premiere. Let’s see what came out of it.

We can be happy because the rumors were true – Nintendo Switch actually saw a price reduction in Europe. Before the discount, the basic Nintendo Switch model had to be paid 329,99 euro. The console has been reduced in price in the official French and German Nintendo stores is offered from today for 299,99 euro. Initial Console Price in UK was £ 279.99 and down do £259.99 in the official Nintendo Store.
Unfortunately, this is not as big a cut as they talked about September 10 leaks. The price of the console was to change from EUR 329.99 to around EUR 270. After all, this is the first such price move by Nintendo since the Switch’s premiere in March 2017. The device has only now seen a price reduction.
The price cut is concerned for now only the European market and it is certainly related to the upcoming premiere of Nintendo Switch OLED, the new version of the console, more about it you can read here. Nintendo Switch OLED will hit store shelves on October 8, 2021.
