Nintendo has shown gameplay footage of the successor to Switch game The Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the first time. The still unnamed game has been in development for several years and should be released in 2022.

In a short trailer, Nintendo gives a concrete look at the game world of the new Zelda game for the first time. This shows that players can also choose the skies and thus discover the world above Hyrule. Two years ago the game was announced with a teaser trailer. According to the description on YouTube, the new trailer contains the first gameplay footage.

Nintendo indicates that players will have to “wait a little longer” for more details, but that it is planning to release the game in 2022. The sequel to Breath of the Wild was announced at E3 2019. That Switch game came out in 2017.
