I don’t blame you that this could have just been a DLC.
I do, but unlike you both apparently I do play this game and we (community) have been looking forward to this for a long time.
I don’t know what you expect, exactly, but it’s a sequel, isn’t it? You can’t expect after BotW, for example, that BotW 2 will suddenly become a shooter, it will just be a game with a few new mechanics and a new story. Same with Splatoon 3.
Well worth Nintendo’s to ask the full blow for this (they still do that for Splatoon 2, which is already 5 years old)
Indeed, Nintendo generally doesn’t change their pricing, as that devalues their product and prevents people from buying it (since they just wait for the game to be cheaper). Nevertheless, they often offer temporary discounts and this is also regularly the case for Splatoon 2.
