Nintendo has again attacked the Youtube channels that broadcast videos with the soundtracks of their games.

In December 2020, Nintendo decided to start filing copyright claims against channels with videos that include content developed by Nintendo and has now returned to the charge.

GilvaSunner (thanks ResetEra) received over 1,300 copyright complaints on his channel due to the broadcast of soundtracks for games such as Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, Super Smash Bros, Yoshi’s Island, Super Mario Land, Luigi’s Mansion and more.

Although GilvaSunner mentions that the videos are not monetized and he doesn’t profit from them, he admits that Nintendo is entitled to these complaints, but above all, he calls for the company to create alternative ways for fans to listen to their works.

What this player and others are asking for is precisely that, that the company makes it possible to easily access their work.
