Nintendo does not want to buy studios like Microsoft and Sony

Nintendo has made it clear that it has no interest in hooking up with Microsoft and Sony’s race to see who can buy the most game studios.

Large mergers and acquisitions in the gaming industry feel like they are becoming more common. Recently, Microsoft has begun the process of buying Activision Blizzard for almost $ 69 billion. Competitor Sony announced earlier this week that it wants to buy game developer Bungie for $ 3.6 billion.

It almost feels like Microsoft and Sony have started some kind of competition. A competition that does not interest Nintendo at all. Something the company’s president Shuntaro Furukawa clarified in his latest update to the company’s investors.

Furukawa said Nintendo is built on products created by the hard work and enthusiasm of their employees. He does not see having a large number of people who do not share the “Nintendo DNA” as something positive for the company.

Thus, there seems to be no interest from Nintendo to start expanding as much as you can just by buying gaming studios. At least not in the near future. However, the manufacturer has always been known for running their own race and it works very well for them. Recently, their latest gaming console Switch renamed the Wii console as their best-selling console of all time. Switch has now sold over 103 million copies and its life cycle is not over yet.
