Nintendo boss also warns of fewer Switch consoles in 2022

The shortages of various components continue and ensure that consoles are poorly available. Nintendo already announced at the beginning of last month that they will have until the end of March 2022 less Switch consoles will make more than intended. Now President Shuntaro Furukawa has once again warned for shortages.

According to Furukawa, fewer Nintendo Switch consoles will be made after March 2022. The OLED model is in high demand at the moment, but it simply cannot be made as many copies as Nintendo would like. So it may well be that this version of the Switch will be poorly available throughout 2022.

“It depends on the demand, but as we had feared, we will not be able to produce as many as we want to.”
