Nintendo announced on its official website today that Japan’s third Nintendo Shop in Kyoto will officially open for business on October 17.
The first Nintendo store is in the PARCO Department Store in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, and the second store is in the Daimaru Department Store in Umeda, Osaka. The third store this time is the Takashimaya Department Store in Kyoto. Nintendo’s headquarters is located in Kyoto, so this store also has a certain significance.
The official also released a real-life picture of the Kyoto store today. There is also a large-scale Mario’s landscaping in the water pipe, and there is also an outdoor landscaping when Mario passes the level.
The Kyoto store, like the other two stores, mainly sells peripheral products of well-known Nintendo IPs such as “Super Mario”, “The Legend of Zelda”, “Sprawl”, “Animal Crossing” and “Pikmin”. There will also be products exclusive to the Kyoto store.
According to the cases of the two stores in the past, there were long queues during the opening period of the new store. If you want to go in and go shopping, you will need to go to the place early in the morning to get the ticket (number plate) and enter the store according to the time on the ticket. Therefore, if you want to go in in the near future, Travelers who plan to go to Kyoto may consider visiting this hot new store!
Nintendo is currently holding activities on its official website in Japan, including an early entry event for 1,000 customers on the 13th and 14th (a lottery is required).
