Ninova – Head of Parliament – 2024-04-12 07:56:10

/ world today news/ Former chairwoman Iva Miteva unnerved Slavi with solo negotiations

Quotas for ministerial seats were variable

BSP leader Kornelia Ninova is the most likely head of the 47th parliament.

This is confirmed by those familiar with the progress of the talks between the future partners from “We continue the change”, BSP, “There is such a people” and “Democratic Bulgaria”.

The initial information was that the post was agreed between ITN and PP for Iva Miteva, who was at the head of the two short 45th and 46th assemblies. As such, she had a good dialogue with Kiril Petkov and Asen Vasilev, while they were serving ministers, and fell into their circle of “honorables”.

Acquaintances revealed, however, that Miteva conducted solo negotiations for the chief post in the National Assembly, and this made Slavi Trifonov nervous. At the same time, the ITN leader is negotiating with Petkov and Vasilev for the members of the government, and the distribution of the key seats in the parliament goes in a package with the ministerial seats. Thus, Miteva can become the head of the legal commission, in which he was an expert for years before entering politics.

8 ministerial seats for PP, 4 for BSP, 3 for ITN and 2 for DB – this formula for the distribution of posts in the future government was first indicated by the socialist Rumen Gechev. He claims that it was agreed with Petkov and Vassilev, and the other parties had no objections.

Before 24 hours, however, the other forces contested the formula – there were possible shifts and

BSP and ITN yes have the same number of ministers

And the 8 seats for the winning party could go separately, not counting the two serving ministers with invitations to stay.

The final formula will become clear only after the management program of the future cabinet is signed, which the parties are still refining.

For now, education minister Nikolay Denkov and interior minister Boyko Rashkov, at this stage of the PP quota, are pointed to by all parties as certain to remain on the official team.

The BSP is firmly against giving a quota for an official minister, explained its deputy leader, Christian Vigenin.

The third sure man of the PP is Asen Vasilev for finance minister. However, it is still not clear whether Kiril Petkov will be prime minister. The option of Stefan Yanev remaining in office, and Petkov heading the Economic Ministry again, continued to be discussed.

Some of the sources speak of tension on the subject of the foreign minister. PP insists that Daniel Laurer becomes diplomat #1, but the intrigue says that the Reds launched Vigenin, who was the head of the MFA in the Oresharski office. “Until now, at no time have we commented on such a thing”, however, Vigenin himself denied. It is the most logical for him

BSP to receive the social

ministry, because this policy is a priority for the left. But he assures that the resources have not yet been commented on.

According to sources from “Positano”, the Reds also liked the ministries of education and the economy, but their chances of getting them are small.

Although the talks about names are yet to come, Slavi Trifonov was already sure of 2 ministries – of youth and sports and of culture. Radostin Vassilev, who was also nominated for the position in the draft cabinet of ITN, is nominated for sports minister. Before entering politics, Vassilev was known mostly in sports circles. His career as a lawyer began with CSKA, where he managed to save millions for the club, and already from his own law firm he defended the interests of many native stars such as Kiril Despodov and Spas Delev, advised the swimming, badminton and volleyball federations.

He will probably be the Minister of Culture

the opera singer Georgi Sultanov, who is a grandson of the actor Petar Slabakov

and nephew of the director and MEP from VMRO Andrey Slabakov. The tenor was also a proposal for this position in the draft cabinet of ITN. He was at the head of the party team for the negotiations in the “Culture” sector and made proposals for the protection of liberal professions. His biography indicates that he worked with all music institutes in our country, as well as with the orchestras of the BNR and the Sofia Philharmonic.

However, it was possible for ITN to propose the screenwriter and poet Ivaylo Valchev, who gave up his parliamentary seat after being elected by his native Burgas, for the Minister of Culture. Some have already read this as a sign of preparation for a position in the administration, because he is the deputy head of the ITN, like Toshko Yordanov, but the latter did not vacate his seat in the National Assembly.

Among the ministries expected to be headed by Slavi’s people is the agricultural one. The expert Plamen Abrovski was voted for the position. He was also among those proposed as ministers in the showman’s draft cabinet, he headed the committee on agriculture in the 46th National Assembly.

Abrovski was a legal consultant at the Food Agency, he worked in the Ministry of Agriculture during the time of Miroslav Naydenov and knows well the European legislation in the “Agriculture” sector.

At least 2 posts go to “Democratic Bulgaria”. If not the Minister of Ecology, the resigned co-chairman of “Green Movement” Borislav Sandov will be

deputy prime minister on the climate. And will be responsible for the implementation of the Green Deal.

The second safe ministry for DB is the justice ministry. PP has already made a proposal to Hristo Ivanov to take over the post again and carry out the radical justice reform he has been talking about for years.

The decision is entirely in his hands. His hesitation stems from him taking responsibility for the DB’s low showing in the Nov. 14 election and resigning as leader. That is why coalition lawyer Nadezhda Yordanova, who was the head of Ivanov’s cabinet, could be a minister.

If DB gets a third chair, it is expected to be the Ministry of Health, and the best choice is pulmonologist Alexander Simidchiev, who headed the health commission in the 45th National Assembly.
