‘Feyenoord faces competition from AS Roma for summer transfer target’

Fluminense defender Nino (26) has come into the spotlight at AS Roma. The one-time Brazil international has been linked several times with a transfer to Feyenoord in recent months, but it appears that the right-footer will continue his career in a top European competition.
Nino is contracted to Fluminense until December 2024. Transfermarkt currently estimates his market value at around 11 million euros. Nino, who scored an own goal last Friday in the final of the Club World Cup (4-0 loss to Manchester City), is eager to work in Europe. According to journalist Adolfo Pedulla, he can sign in Serie A.
Roma is following Nino closely, as José Mourinho’s club will have to do without Evan Ndicka in January, who is participating in the African Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast. Nino was able to go to Zenit St. Petersburg at an earlier stage, but did not want to leave for Russia.
According to 1908.nl, the physically strong Nino is still interested in Feyenoord, although the Rotterdammers are not currently interested in the Brazilian. The reigning national champion hopes to add a right-footed defender to the selection this winter.
Nino has a clause in his contract during the winter transfer period that allows him to leave Fluminense for approximately 5 million euros. That makes the Brazilian defender popular with various European clubs.
In addition to Roma, Nottingham Forest would also like to strike. The number seventeen of the Premier League is a lot wealthier than Feyenoord, so it does not seem that Feyenoord can meet Nino’s salary demands.
