The city’s 2022 national surface water assessment section ranks 25th in the country. In 2022, the proportion of drinking water sources above the county level in our city will be 100% of Grade I-III water quality, 100% of the 10 national examination sections will be of Grade I-III water quality, and 97.8% of the 45 provincial examination sections will be of Grade I-III water quality.

The Municipal Department of Ecology and Environment has carried out in-depth efforts to strengthen water quality monitoring and early warning, strengthen research, supervision and assistance, strengthen the prevention and control of water blooms in key lakes and reservoirs, continue to carry out comprehensive management of river basins, promote the investigation and rectification of sewage outlets entering rivers, delineate rural water source protection areas, and “beautiful rivers and lakes” “Demonstration and creation, implementation of ecological compensation mechanisms for key river basins, and active planning of clear water projects to provide ecological support for high-quality economic development.
“We have strengthened the normalized monitoring of 10 national examination sections, 45 provincial examination sections, and 46 small watershed monitoring sections including Xiping Village, Houlongxi, etc. , Grasp the water quality in a timely manner, find problems, trace the source and investigate in time, and go to Jiaocheng, Gutian, Pingnan, Zhouning, Shouning Fu’an and other places to hold quality analysis meetings, do a good job of analysis and early warning, provide assistance and guidance, and promote problem rectification.” The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau said.
It is understood that the city has invested a total of 331 million yuan to promote the implementation of a number of comprehensive treatment projects such as Qidu Creek in Jiaocheng, Caoyang Creek in Gutian, comprehensive treatment of water pollution in Pingnan River Basin, and black and odorous water bodies in Xiapu Moat. At the same time, in accordance with the requirements of the five-in-one work system of “investigation, measurement, traceability, treatment, and management”, the sewage outlets into the river have been fully completed by adopting methods such as intercepting sewage pipes, dismantling and closing, constructing wetlands, tail water reuse, or diverting fields for irrigation. Clear water tackles difficulties and projects support. Various places in our city actively applied for clear water tackling projects, and a total of 73 water pollution prevention and control projects were planned and reported, with a total investment of 12.425 billion yuan. Continue to carry out the comprehensive management of the water system in the central urban area of Ningde, the water quality improvement and improvement of the Rainbow Bridge section in Pingnan County, the water quality purification of Qidu Xikou constructed wetland, the comprehensive management of water and soil erosion in the Longxi small watershed of Zherong County, and the improvement of the quality and efficiency of domestic sewage treatment at the Xiyuan Village section , Songluo Township, Fuan City, Qiantangxi small watershed comprehensive management projects, etc., to promote the improvement of water quality in the watershed.
