A week ago on Wednesday, a nine-year-old student at a school in Winterthur frightened his classmates. He is said to have had a knife with him and threatened to kill all the children at the school with it.
A spokesman for the Winterthur city police confirmed a report of “20 minutes” on the incident at the request of Keystone-SDA. Employees of the youth police moved out on Friday and spoke to the boy.
However, there is nothing to fear from criminal law: in Switzerland, the age of criminal responsibility does not begin until the age of 10. Criminal proceedings against the student are therefore not possible. According to the spokesman, the city police are still in contact with the school.
According to the report, the boy has intimidated his classmates on various occasions over the past few weeks. After the incident on Monday, he is said to have received a reprimand, but is now back at school.
