Linz am Rhein (dpa / lrs) – A nine-year-old boy is said to have scratched numerous parked cars in Linz am Rhein. So far, 14 cases have been known since last Monday morning, the police said on Thursday. A driver observed a child doing one of the crimes. Officers then managed to identify the boy. The nine-year-old confessed. It was initially unclear why he scratched the cars.
Children under the age of 14 are not criminally responsible in Germany. However, it is possible that younger children or their parents will also have to pay for any damage caused.
