Nine suspected coke smugglers arrested in North Holland

In the North Holland village of Warder, nine people were arrested last night who are suspected of smuggling 85 kilos of cocaine.

It concerns six men, two women and a boy of 16. The oldest suspect is 56. Other ages have been determined by the Public Prosecution Service not published. The suspects come from Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Warder.

The suspects ran into trouble because the batch of coke was intercepted in the port of Rotterdam. The drugs were in a container of bananas from the Dominican Republic and have been destroyed.

The Public Prosecution Service does not rule out more arrests.
