Xinhua News Agency, Islamabad, September 1 (Reporter Jiang Chao) A suicide bombing attack occurred on the evening of August 31 in Khyber-Pashtun Province in northwestern Pakistan, killing nine soldiers and injuring five others.
On the night of the incident, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Information Agency issued a statement saying that the explosion occurred in the Jani Khail area of the Bennu region of the province. A suicide bomber riding a motorcycle detonated a bomb near a military vehicle convoy. Security forces cordoned off the area where the incident occurred and launched operations to search and eliminate terrorists.
No organization or individual has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
